When I think of Lorelei my head turns all around
As gentle as a butterfly she moves without a sound
I call her on the telephone, she says be there by eight
Tonight's the night she's moving in and I can hardly wait

The name “Lorelei” can refer either to the rock in the Rhine, mythical tales of a creature luring ships to sail upon that specific rock or it can refer to mermaids.

Looking out forward over the prow of our long ship,
Pulling our oars and listening to the foam
Helmets and sheepskins salt-damp in the sea-mist
We're going home.

A tale of Vikings returning home after roaming the seas. Although you may think of them as cruel murderers and robbers, the vikings were very good sailors. Compared to today's standards they had very limited means, but still they sailed further than we can imagine and the longships were extremely fast and seaworthy … even compared to modern technology.
